Ex-US Drug Enforcement Agent, Mike Levine, spoke out about Renee Boje's case in an article which appeared in "Heads Magazine", Vol 4, Issue 1, and was written by Thoman Mann. Mike Levine was interviewed for the article and stated the following:

"I've researched Renee's case in detail anc cannot find one shred of evidence linking her to any crime," states Levine. "The officers involved wanted Todd McCormick and hoped Renee would help them do so. What they didn't anticipate was Renee refusing to falsify evidence, fleeing the country and finding widespread support in the media. By default, she's become a figurehead in the medical marijuana movement. The arresting officers are so zealous they just won't give up."

"Often the sheer number of plants found in the Bel Air mansion where Renee was arrested is made to be an issue with her case," continues Levine. "In medical marijuana prosecution, Just because someone has more than their allotted number of plants or possess more than their legal limit of cannabis, this in itself does not make anyone guilty of a crime... Lawyers need to argue this more strongly. Renee and her family are caught in a nightmare that is still unfolding," somberly concludes the former DEA sargent. "Let's hope reason prevails and they just drop her charges."
